Euroleague Basketball has named daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings as its official fantasy partner.

The agreement will see DraftKings develop a variety of fantasy-products based on Euroleague's two leading competitions, the Turkish Airlines sponsored EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup.

The existing EuroLeague Fantasy Challenge game, which launched in 2003, has gone on to attract more than one million teams, with the league expecting the revamped DraftKings offering to prove even more popular with basketball fans.

“The commitment to excellence by Euroleague Basketball as exemplified on the court with format changes last year to form the first true league in European team sports is now being taken to other aspects of the fan experience, and fantasy is more evidence of that,” Euroleague Basketball said.

The agreement expands DraftKings' roster of fantasy partnerships with professional sports, which include Major League Baseball, National Hockey League and NASCAR.
