A poster promoting Tatts Group's sports betting brand UBet has been found to have breached the Australian Wagering Code after the country's Advertising Standards Board (ASB) ruled that the ad encouraged unhealthy gambling behaviour.

The poster in question appeared in Brisbane's Jubilee Hotel and offered gamblers prizes every half-hour between noon and 4pm, including an AUD$25 "redemption punt" for the "biggest loser" in that period.

"UBet is promoting harmful gambling on so many levels," a complainant wrote to the ASB.
