Canadian wins 2010 World Series of Poker main event

Four months after reaching the final table, Jonathan Duhamel yesterday became the first Canadian to win the coveted 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event, one of the most prestigious poker tournaments in the world - winning more than US$8.9m in the process.

Duhamel overcame a field of 7,319 players, the second largest live tournament ever held to win the coveted event. Only the 2006 WSOP main event was bigger when 8,773 players took part.
