An acrimonious first reading Friday of proposed legislation to cancel Schleswig-Holstein’s existing gaming law and replace it with the revised State Treaty on Gaming did little to shed light on the future direction of the north-German state’s gambling policy, with both sides of the argument accusing the other of endangering players and inflicting damage on the state.
