Atlantic City’s Taj Mahal casino will be able to continue operating beyond November after the judge handling the casino’s bankruptcy case allowed parent company Trump Entertainment Resorts to cancel its pension and healthcare obligations to the casino workers union.
In a hearing at the United States Bankruptcy Court of the District of Delaware on Friday, Judge Kevin Gross granted Trump Entertainment’s appeal to cancel its contract with Local 54 of the UNITE-HERE union.
