Online betting operator 188BET has ceased providing its online gambling services to players in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
188BET-owner Annatar Limited said that the closure was a “commercial decision in a very competitive marketplace”.
188BET had been active in the UK for thirteen years and had ramped up its presence through various sponsorships in football (Bolton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic shirt deals), rugby league (Wigan Warriors) and horse racing (Jockey Club racecourses) over the years.
