Sydney-listed gaming supplier Ainsworth Game Technology has successfully installed its historical horse racing (HHR) system and terminals at Churchill Downs’ newly opened Derby City Gaming Downtown venue.
The new venue in Louisville, Kentucky, features 500 HHR terminals, with 90 per cent of those connected to Ainsworth’s HHR system.
The gaming floor features a bank of Ainsworth’s new series of San Bao slot machines, alongside a number of its classic high denomination titles and other popular themes on the A-STAR Curve cabinet.
The games and platforms have been specifically engineered for HHR, certified by an independent testing lab, and approved by applicable gaming and racing commissions.
“Churchill Downs continues to be a great partner to Ainsworth,” said Ainsworth president of North America Deron Hunsberger. “Derby City Downtown is an impressive property and a perfect showcase for Ainsworth’s games and HHR system.
“Our HHR system continues to deliver a high-quality experience to both players and operators, and we look forward to continued success for both Ainsworth and our partners as we continue to expand our presence in Kentucky and other HHR jurisdictions.”
In addition to its own content, Ainsworth’s HHR system enables its partners to provide guests with popular content from several additional top gaming suppliers including Aristocrat, IGT, Konami and Light & Wonder.
Shares in Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd (ASX:AGI) closed at AUD$1.17 per share in Sydney Wednesday.
