The Star Entertainment Group has confirmed the appointment of Frank Krile as group chief financial officer (CFO).
Krile assumes the role with immediate effect and will work alongside interim CFO Neale O’Connell until the end of March to ensure an orderly transition.
This is Krile’s first role in the gambling sector, having spent the last two decades as a senior finance executive at Australian multinational construction and real estate company Lendlease.
The Star also confirmed the immediate departure of Mark Mackay, CEO of The Star Gold Coast.
Mackay only took over as chief executive in September as part of the casino’s new-look leadership team, having previously served as the venue’s chief operating officer.
“We thank Mark Mackay for his assistance and wish him well for the future,” said Steve McCann, CEO and managing director of The Star Group.
The search for a new CEO for The Star Gold Coast is currently underway.
Shares in Star Entertainment Group Ltd. (ASX:SGR) gained 2.50 per cent to close at AU$0.21 per share in Sydney Wednesday.
