Genting Singapore has brought in former INSPIRE Incheon executive Chen Si to serve as chief operating officer of Resorts World Sentosa (RWS).

Si will join RWS on 1 December from INSPIRE Entertainment Resort in Incheon, South Korea, where he most recently served as chief executive officer.

He will work closely with RWS chief executive Lee Shi Ruh and brings almost two decades of gaming and hospitality experience to RWS, having held senior leadership roles at Las Vegas Sands, Marina Bay Sands and Sands China prior to joining INSPIRE in August 2022.

Genting Singapore is currently in the process of revamping the Sentosa venue as part of its RWS 2.0 redevelopment program.

“We welcome Mr Si and look forward to his contributions as RWS continues its journey of transformation and growth, reinforcing its position as the leading integrated resort and premier tourism destination in Asia,” said RWS in a statement.

Resorts World Sentosa generated gaming revenue of S$839.4 million in the first half of 2025, down 12 per cent year-on-year, while non-gaming revenue was 6 per cent lower at $374.7 million.

RWS attributed the decline to unavoidable disruptions caused by the RWS 2.0 transformation program, including phased closures.

Si will be replaced as CEO of INSPIRE Entertainment Resort by Korean businessman Gyubum Ko.

Bain Capital took control of INSPIRE in February from the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority.

Shares in Genting Singapore Ltd (SGX:G13) gained 1.38 per cent to close at S$0.74 per share in Singapore Tuesday.
