Interim CEO Corey Goodman given the role on a permanent basis but CFO resigns with the company still to complete several outstanding audits
NorthStar Gaming Holdings has appointed Corey Goodman as its permanent chief executive officer, with Ben Powell named interim chief financial officer.
Goodman has served as NorthStar’s interim CEO since the departure of Michael Moskowitz in December, during which time he has led the company through a period of financial and operational stabilization and its efforts to resolve outstanding audit and reporting matters.
“On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to confirm Mr. Goodman as NorthStar’s chief executive officer,” said Northstar chair Dean MacDonald. “Corey has brought focus and discipline to the company at a pivotal time, and the Board has full confidence in his leadership as NorthStar completes its outstanding financial reporting and continues to strengthen the business.”
NorthStar also confirmed that Chin Dhushenthen has resigned as chief financial officer, having been with the company since September 2021.
Dhushenthen will remain engaged in an advisory capacity to support continuity through the completion of the company’s outstanding audits.
Ben Powell has been appointed interim CFO, having served at the company since its inception, playing a central role in NorthStar’s financing and capital-raising activities.
Northstar has concurrently made other enhancements to its accounting function to support the completion of its outstanding audits by Davidson & Company, including engaging a chartered professional accountant on a consulting basis.
In addition, NorthStar has appointed Krisztina Kalla as vice president of compliance.
“I want to thank Chin for his contributions to NorthStar and for his continued support through the completion of our audits,” said Goodman. “Chin has agreed to remain engaged in an advisory capacity, which will provide continuity as our auditors complete their work.
“I am also pleased to welcome Ben and Krisztina to their new roles, and I am confident that the strengthened finance and compliance functions will serve the company well as we move forward.”
Davidson & Company has been engaged to conduct the audits of the company’s outstanding financial statements for the fiscal years ended 31 December 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Davidson currently plans to complete the audits for the three fiscal years concurrently and, as a result, the company expects these audits to be completed later in 2026.
