Gregory will take over from Marcus Cordes, who will focus on building Hacksaw’s new B2B prediction markets business

Hacksaw Gaming has appointed Philippa Gregory as its new operational CEO to succeed Marcus Cordes, who will focus on developing the new Hacksaw Markets division.

Gregory currently serves as chief compliance officer and has been with Hacksaw since April 2022, serving as a member of the group management since January 2025.

She will take over as operational chief executive from Cordes, who has been in the role since February 2022 and now assumes responsibility for Hacksaw Markets, the company’s newly launched B2B prediction markets division.

Gregory and Cordes will work together until 1 December to ensure a smooth handover.

“Over the past five years, I have focused on building a strong management team, ready to take the company onto its next phase,” said Cordes. “Philippa has always been a natural successor in my eyes, and I was pleased to recommend her appointment.

“This allows me to return to what I do best and focus on where I can create the most value for the group. I will continue to support Hacksaw Group, with the same commitment to building long-term value.

Commenting on her appointment, Gregory said: “I know this company, I know our people, and I see significant potential ahead. My priority as operational CEO is to continue strengthening our core business, with clear accountability, disciplined execution and a firm focus on profitable growth.”

Further strengthening the business, Hacksaw Gaming also confirmed that chief commercial officer Luke Hammett will join the group management team.

Hammett has been with the supplier since its early years, working on commercial activities and building customer relationships in close collaboration with Cordes and Gregory.

“This transition gives both businesses the dedicated leadership and focus needed to support our group strategy,” said Hacksaw group CEO Ana Vrabic Verdir. “Philippa brings the experience and knowledge of the company to take Hacksaw Gaming forward, while Marcus focuses on building Hacksaw Markets.”

Hacksaw Gaming is the Malta-based subsidiary of Hacksaw Group.
