West Virginia Lottery director Alan Larrick has resigned from his position with immediate effect, just days after overseeing the successful roll-out of sports betting in the state.
Larrick notified West Virginia Governor Jim Justice of his intention to step down on Friday August 31st, with his departure effective September 1st.
In response to his resignation, Governor Justice said: “There is no question he has done an excellent job and he will be missed.”
