PAGCOR appoints Wilma Eisma as new president and COO

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has appointed Wilma Eisma as its new president and chief operating officer (COO).

Eisma succeeds Juanito Sanosa Jr., who resigned as president and COO in January after less than 18 months in the role.

A lawyer by profession, she brings more than twenty years of experience in regulatory and corporate affairs to the role.

She was previously a Board member of the Development Bank of the Philippines, and the first woman administrator and chairman of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), the government agency that manages the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. She has also held key positions at the Department of Trade and Industry and in the Office of the Majority Leader in the House of Representatives.

“We are happy to welcome Atty. Wilma Eisma as PAGCOR’s new president and COO,” said PAGCOR chairman Alejandro Tengco. “We know she will be a great asset, and her vast experience in both the government and private sectors will surely be put to good use here.”
