Stake prepares for Latin American expansion with Bogotá hub
17th May 2024 8:11 am GMTStake.com owner Easygo has opened a new hub in Bogotá as it looks to expand operations across Latin America.
The move follows last year’s acquisition of Betfair Colombia and the subsequent launch of Stake in the Colombian market.
By consolidating operations in Bogotá, the company aims to enhance efficiency in catering to the diverse needs and preferences of players across the region.
“We are thrilled to reaffirm our dedication to Latin America with the launch of our Bogotá hub,” said Easygo chief strategy officer Brais Pena Sanchez. “Latin America represents a burgeoning market for the online gaming industry, and our presence in Bogotá positions us to better serve our expanding player base in the region.”
In addition to strengthening its Colombian operations, Stake is actively pursuing expansion opportunities across Latin America, applying for a licence in Peru and solidified a strategic partnership with TG Lab as its platform partner, laying the groundwork for its entry into the Peruvian market.
In addition, Stake has secured market access agreements in Mexico and Paraguay.
“Our objective is to bring the thrill of our gaming platforms to players across Latin America,” said Diana Otalora, Stake general manager for LatAm. “With the launch of our Bogotá hub, we are poised to deliver exceptional gaming experiences and foster enduring connections with our players.”
Easygo, which also owns Carrot Gaming, Twist Gaming, Massive Gaming and Kick.com, plans to expand its LatAm headcount by 50 employees by the end of this year.
