Star Entertainment Group has appointed Jeannie Mok as group chief operating officer (COO), with Mok starting the role on 11 June 2024.
Mok’s main responsibility with the operator will be to lead the company’s ongoing remediation efforts.
She joins the operator after a two-year stint at Crown Resorts, where she most recently served as chief transformation officer with responsibility for Crown’s transformation strategy, and the delivery of its culture, governance, technology and operations remediation programs.
“I am delighted to welcome Jeannie to the team as Group Chief Operating Officer. We are at a pivotal point in our company’s history and Jeannie’s appointment strengthens our leadership team as we focus on implementing the necessary reforms at The Star,” said Anne Ward, chairman of The Star Entertainment Group.
“Jeannie’s strong leadership skills and highly relevant experience within the industry will be significant assets to our ongoing program of change,” Ward added.
“We are focused on driving sustainable improvements at The Star and fostering a culture of positive transformation at all levels of the organisation. We look forward to working with Jeannie across all operational aspects of this transformation.”
Shares in Star Entertainment Group Ltd. (ASX:SGR) gained 3.33 per cent to close at AUD$0.47 per share in Sydney Monday.
