Casino operator Boyd Gaming has expanded its Board of Directors with the appointment of Michael Hartmeier.
Hartmeier is the former group head of lodging, gaming and leisure investment banking at Barclays, and previously served as group head of hospitality and gaming at both Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse First Boston.
During his 25-year career in investment banking, Hartmeier completed more than $125 billion in financing and advisory assignments, including work for numerous gaming companies.
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for DiamondRock Hospitality Company, a self-advised real estate investment trust with a portfolio of premium hotels and resorts in the United States.
Hartmeier will serve on the Board alongside Marianne Johnson (executive chairman), Keith Smith (president & CEO), John Bailey, William Boyd, Christine Spadafor, A. Randall Thoman, Peter Thomas, and Paul Whetsell.
Shares in Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE:BYD) closed 1.15 per cent lower at $52.40 per share in New York Monday.
