World Series of Poker (WSOP) and Caesars Entertainment have announced the launch of a new real-money online poker platform under the WSOP Online brand.
The new platform combines player pools in Michigan, Nevada and New Jersey and features upgraded functionality such as four-table capabilities on mobile, multi-flight re-entry tournaments, in-app gift drops, and new game derivatives.
Players can also expect to see new features, bigger promotions and weekly tournaments with more players than ever before.
Existing players in Nevada and New Jersey will have to create a new account on the new platform, after which any existing balances, tournament tickets and reward points will be transferred to the new account.
Alongside the launch, any WSOP Online player who makes a deposit between May 28 and June 29 will receive complimentary entry into a $100,000 player appreciation freeroll No Limit Hold’em event.
“This platform upgrade is long overdue and is a big win for our players, the best is yet to come for WSOP Online tournaments, and we’re thrilled to bring Michigan players into the fold with Nevada and New Jersey, resulting in a better experience, more value, and the biggest prize pools of the year,” said Danielle Barille, VP of online poker at Caesars Digital.
The old WSOP platform was shut down on Monday (May 27), with the launch of the new platform coinciding with the 55th WSOP event at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas.
This year’s tournament will see 30 online bracelet events from 1 June, with the last bracelet contest occurring on July 21.
