GAMSTOP has confirmed a change of ownership for the UK's national online gambling self-exclusion scheme as it seeks further independence.
Operator association the Remote Gambling Association (RGA) was previously the sole member of the self-exclusion scheme, reflecting its early days as an industry-led initiative.
In order to provide the organisation with greater independence, the RGA has now withdrawn its membership and ownership has transferred to the current directors, with GAMSTOP remaining a not for profit entity.
