The Australian Banking Association has released a consultation paper on the use of credit cards for gambling.
The ABA is seeking the public's view on the credit card gambling policy, where credit cards can currently be used for online gambling but not at licensed venues such as casinos.
Announcing the pubic consultation, Australian Banking Association chief executive Anna Bligh said that banks have an important role to play in helping tackle the issue of problem gambling.
