Rhode Island’s regulated sports betting market saw total wagers decline by 62 per cent to $8.9m in March following the closure of the state’s two casinos mid-month due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Market leader Twin River saw stakes decline by 77 per cent year-on-year to $4.5m, while wagering at Tiverton Casino fell by 67 per cent versus a year ago to $1.4m.
