London-listed gaming supplier Gaming Realms has entered into a two-year agency deal with US toy and board game developer Hasbro.

The agreement gives Hasbro the exclusive rights to act as an agent on behalf of Gaming Realms to identify and help negotiate licensing opportunities for the Slingo brand across various digital gaming products, outside of the real-money iGaming and lottery segments.

Hasbro has a successful track record of licensing well-known game brands into a wide range of digital game and gambling categories with collaborations with the likes of Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Scopely and Scientific Games.

“We are extremely pleased to, once again, be working closely with Hasbro on what will be a key strategic partnership in the expansion of our Slingo brand,” said Gaming Realms executive chairman Michael Buckley. “At Gaming Realms our priority has always been to create innovative and engaging content for users and to increase its reach by expanding the offering across a variety of market sectors and, we believe that this partnership will enable us to further develop this.”

Hasbro senior vice president Mark Blecher commented: “As Slingo is an incredible brand with a long heritage and engaged audience in multiple digital gaming and gambling categories, we are excited to apply our deep gaming licensing expertise on behalf of Gaming Realms to seek opportunities to bring the Slingo brand to life in new and unique ways.”

Shares in Gaming Realms plc (LSE:GMR) were trading down 3.66 per cent at 9.73 pence per share in London earlier Thursday, while shares in Hasbro Inc (NSQ:HAS) closed down 4.12 per cent at $62.84 in New York Wednesday.
