Australia’s Victoria begins lottery licence consultation process

The Victorian government has launched a consultation process to seek views on the Australia’s state’s current and future licensing arrangements for public lotteries.

The Department of Justice and Regulation said that information gathered through the process will help inform the development of future regulatory arrangements for lotteries in Victoria from 2018 onwards.

The consultation is part of the state’s Lotteries Licensing Project, which aims to maximise the net benefits to Victorians from the conduct of lotteries.
