The Illinois Lottery has posted record lottery sales of $345.1m for the month of October, benefiting from growth in digital sales and increased interest in the near world-record Mega Millions jackpot.
October marked the highest monthly sales performance by the lottery since its inception in 1974, with sales up 10 per cent compared to the previous record high set in January 2016.
