The Brazilian government has awarded a fifteen-year licence to operate the Lotex instant lottery to a joint venture between rival suppliers International Game Technology and Scientific Games.
Following the reopening of a tender process last month, Consórcio Estrela Instantânea will pay the government R$817.9m (€178.8m) for the tender, comprising an initial payment of R$96.9m and seven additional annual fixed installments of R$103m.
