New York-listed supplier Scientific Games has been awarded a new contract to continue providing instant lottery Scratchers games to the District of Columbia Lottery (DC Lottery).

The new one-year contract, which can be extended by the DC Lottery for up to four years, continues a relationship which stretches back to 1982 when the lottery first launched.

Scientific Games has produced several of the DC Lottery’s best performing Scratchers games in recent times, including the top-selling $3 game SLINGO, as well as the American football-themed $5 Washington Touchdown, $20 Roaring Cash and the lottery’s second $30 game, Capital Fortune.

“There is a significant opportunity for growth in our instant portfolio,” said DC Lottery executive director Beth Bresnahan. “We are pleased to continue our longtime, successful relationship with Scientific Games through this new contract which will help the DC Lottery to continue our mission of maximizing revenue returned to the General Fund to support the District’s vital public programs and essential services.”

Scientific Games senior vice president of instant products John Schulz commented: “Scientific Games is honored to continue serving as a trusted business partner to the DC Lottery.

“Our more than 45 years of experience creating, manufacturing and managing instant games has resulted in products that responsibly drive maximum revenues for our lottery partners such as the DC Lottery.”
