PokerStars’ Vegas Infinite partners Capcom’s Street Fighter

PokerStars is introducing new brands into its Vegas Infinite (formerly PokerStars VR) social casino game through a multi-year partnership with Capcom’s Street Fighter.

The agreement will see the Street Fighter game officially enter the Vegas Infinite universe, giving players the chance to transform their avatars and become their favourite characters with Street Fighter apparel and items reimagined for virtual and mixed reality, and PC via Steam.

“When I think of videogaming in the 90s, I think of Street Fighter,” said PokerStars director of VR and innovation James O’Reilly. “It’s a franchise whose appeal spans generations of gamers and was one of the first to make that critical leap from video gaming to film, comic books, and wider pop culture.

“This partnership is the first step in introducing new brands into the world of Vegas Infinite and we’re incredibly proud to work with such reputable names as Capcom and Street Fighter. We’ve had great fun developing for virtual reality and mixed reality, and for our recently launched PC offering, and we know our players are going to love what we have in store. I cannot wait to launch a Hadoken across my living room.”

First released in 1987, Street Fighter was developed and published by Capcom and has become one of the top selling fighting game franchises in video gaming history.
