North American gaming platform provider Strive Gaming has named Ian Smith as its new chief technology officer (CTO).

Bringing over two decades of experience in the gaming industry, Smith worked for more than sixteen years at William Hill, including as global director of technology, before stints at Stride Gaming, Rank Group, Flutter Entertainment and most recently Game Play Network.

“We are delighted to welcome Ian Smith to Strive Gaming as our new CTO,” said Strive Gaming CEO Max Meltzer. “Ian has rare characteristics; exceptional hands-on skill, experience and yet a sense of calm, humility and above all a desire to help talent around him flourish.

“This coupled with his extensive industry experience in the gaming industry make him the right person to lead our technical initiatives and helping the business achieve its goals.”

Commenting on his appointment, Smith said: “I’m thrilled to join the talented team at Strive Gaming. Having worked with their PAM product from a customer perspective, I have firsthand experience of its quality and potential.

“I am confident that together, we can further evolve the company and achieve our vision of becoming the number one PAM provider in North America.”

With offices in Canada, Malta the UK and US, Strive Gaming’s customers include Golden Nugget (DraftKings), PointsBet, Desert Diamond, Betsafe (Betsson) and Four Winds, among others.

Last month OpenBet made an investment in Strive Gaming, enabling the two companies to market their platforms as a fully-integrated solution.
