ESPN Bet continues rollout in United States
24th September 2024 9:26 am GMTPenn Entertainment has launched its ESPN Bet retail sportsbook at L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles in Louisiana, with New York next on the list.
The newly-opened sportsbook aims to further brand connectivity between PENN Entertainment’s retail casino and the online sports betting platform.
The retail sportsbook is located next to the hotel tower elevators and features three over-the-counter sports betting terminals, 15 sports betting kiosks and four slot machines.
There are also six video poker machines and electronic and traditional table games.
In addition to the retail sportsbook launch, the ESPN Bet app is now available on the L’Auberege Casino website.
ESPN Bet is currently live in 18 jurisdictions, including Louisana, and the PENN Entertainment-owned brand is set to open further retail sportsbooks in the coming months, with New York its most hotly anticipated launch.

ESPN Bet secured license approval to launch in New York on September 23, taking over the license previously held by WynnBet, which PENN Entertainment acquired for $25 million in February.
