Evolution has been selected as the live casino games supplier to Finland’s state-owned gaming operator, Veikkaus.

The contract has an initial term of three years and includes the option to extend for two additional years, with an estimated maximum value of €15 million over the full term.

This will see Evolution provide its live casino gaming system, including games, associated platform and back-end, to Veikkaus as the company prepares to face competition in Finland’s re-regulated gambling market next year.

Evolution was awarded the contract this week without competition, as there were no suitable tenders, requests to participate, or applications in response to last year’s tender notice.

From January 2026, private operators will be allowed to serve Finland’s online gambling market under a local licence, offering sports and horse race betting, as well as online bingo and casino games.

Veikkaus’ monopoly on lottery and land-based betting and gaming will continue under the new regime.
