Helsinki-headquartered Hippos ATG has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Pekka Kaidesoja as head of content.
Kaidesoja has a long and recognised career in sports media and television production, both internationally and in Finland.
He has worked as a TV producer and reporter at the Olympic Games, as well as numerous World Championships and major international sports events.
He also has editorial experience and practical involvement in live production and storytelling in the horse racing sector.
“We are very pleased to welcome Pekka to Hippos ATG,” said CEO Mikael Bäcke. “He brings strong experience from high-level international sports broadcasting and content production. Pekka has a deep understanding of horse racing both as a sport and as a television and digital product. His expertise will be part of providing our customers with an engaging, high quality content for the Finnish market.”
Hippos ATG is a joint venture between Swedish betting and gaming operator ATG and Finland’s Suomen Hippos, and will offer betting on horse racing, sports, and online casino at launch in Finland when the re-regulated market opens in July 2027.
“Hippos ATG has a unique opportunity to redefine how horse racing and betting-related content is presented in Finland,” said Kaidesoja. “I’m excited to create the best possible betting and streaming experience for the betting and horse racing audience.”
