Partnership supports the launch of the new professional football league and aims to strengthen its visibility, attractiveness and development
Banijay Gaming’s Betclic brand has been unveiled as the new title sponsor of French football’s Ligue 3 for the next three seasons.
The agreement marks an expansion of Betclic’s existing partnership with the French Football Federation (FFF), under which Betclic serves as a partner of the men’s and women’s French National Teams, the Coupe de France Crédit Agricole, the Coupe de France Féminine, and the Arkema Première Ligue.
Previously known as the Championnat National, the third tier of the French football league system has been reformed ahead of the 2026/27 season to create a new professional league.
“The creation of Ligue 3 represents a major step in the structuring and development of French football, meeting a strong and long-standing expectation of the clubs,” said FFF president Philippe Diallo. “We are particularly pleased to be able to count on Betclic as the title partner of this new championship.
“Already fully committed alongside the FFF on our main competitions, Betclic is thus extending its support to French football and will help promote Ligue 3 Betclic as an attractive, economically sustainable, and resolutely innovative league, thanks to a new competition format, unprecedented sporting and financial regulations, as well as the integration of new technologies to aid refereeing.”
Betclic Group CEO Julien Brun added: “Ligue 3 is a championship where innovation meets the passion of local communities. It is this uniqueness that made us want to go further with the French Football Federation.
“By becoming title partner, we want to put Betclic’s technology and power at the service of clubs, supporters, and regions to allow even more enthusiasts to discover Ligue 3 Betclic and reveal the emotions that make this competition unique.”
The new Ligue 3 Betclic features 18 clubs and kicks off this weekend.
