Betting and gaming operators Ladbrokes Coral and Kindred Group have signed long-term data usage agreements with Football DataCo, the data rights holder for all professional football leagues in Scotland and England.

The agreements allow the operators to use matchday data from all English Premier League, English Football League and Scottish Professional Football League matches across their digital channels.

Ladbrokes Coral's agreement also includes data for retail operations, allowing it to use the live data in its shops in the UK, Ireland, Spain and Italy.

"British football is a cornerstone of betting businesses, with Football DataCo's high quality data a key component in driving turnover," Football DataCo general manager Adrian Ford said.

"Our agreements with Ladbrokes Coral and Kindred Group recognise DataCo's intellectual property and the requirement to have a data usage licence."

Ladbrokes Coral and Kindred join a number of other leading operators in signing licensing agreements with Football DataCo. To date bet365, Betfred, Paddy Power Betfair, Sky Betting & Gaming, William Hill and GVC Holdings, which is in the process of acquiring Ladbrokes Coral, have agreed deals with the rights holder.

The data is distributed by Perform Group and collected by its Opta and Running Ball subsidiaries, which serve as the official media and betting data partners of the eight professional football leagues and associated cup competitions represented by Football DataCo.

In 2016 Perform extended this partnership until the end of the 2018-19 season, continuing a relationship that was first established in 2013.
