Sports data specialist Genius Sports has struck a data partnership with the Football Association of Indonesia.
The agreement will see Persatuan Sepakbola Seluruh Indonesia (PSSI) utilise Genius Sports' football data platform to offer an enhanced digital experience to football fans.
The supplier has also been given exclusive rights to commercialise real-time data from competitions organised by the PSSI, including the Liga 1 top division. In addition, Genius Sports will provide Indonesian sports fans with real-time statistics before, during and post-matches, as well as data-driven content through a mobile app and social media channel.
"The PSSI is very excited to work closely with Genius Sports," said Joko Driyono, acting chairman of the PSSI. "With their experience and capabilities, we truly believe this partnership will accelerate our development of Indonesian football.
"We will do our utmost to ensure significant improvements across all areas and recognise that data management plays a crucial role in our development, not only from a technical side but also in our commercial acquisition strategy."
Steven Burton, managing director of Genius Sports, added: "Football leagues and federations across the world are looking to engage their fans in real-time.
"This is only possible with the right technology and we are delighted to be partnering with the PSSI, underpinning their technical infrastructure to engage fans and transform their use of official data."
