Sports integrity and data provider Genius Sports has been selected by the German Football Association (DFB) to launch a new integrity programme to monitor over 7,500 games a year.

Following a competitive tender process, Genius Sports was selected to provide its Bet Monitoring System to the DFB from the start of the upcoming 2019/20 season.

The monitoring system will provide betting intelligence, detailed reports and analysis of global betting markets on all Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, German internationals, women’s and youth team fixtures, automatically flagging any potentially suspicious betting activity in real-time.

“We look forward to working with Genius Sports as our new integrity service provider and hope to gain new impetus in the field of preventing betting-related corruption,” said DFB integrity officer Hendrik Große Lefert.

Genius Sports managing director Steven Burton commented: “Being selected to safeguard the integrity and future of one of the largest football associations in the world is a huge honour for Genius Sports and is a testament to the quality of our services.

“Our monitoring technology, expertise in analysing real-time betting and global intelligence network will provide comprehensive protection for the DFB, ensuring their games remain transparent and unpredictable.”
