Sweden’s regulated gambling market contracted by 3.2 per cent in the first half of 2014 with revenue down by more than SEK1bn year-on-year, according to figures from gambling regulator Lotteriinspektionen.
Lotteriinspektionen communications director Joakim Rönngren described the market as “sluggish", with total revenue for the six month period falling to SEK19.3bn and the market on course to record its fourth consecutive year of decline.
