The Swedish gaming market grew by 3 per cent year-on-year to SEK11bn in the first half of 2017, with the strongest growth recorded by offshore iGaming operators.
Turnover from the regulated sector remained at the same level as last year at SEK8.4bn, according to Swedish regulator Lotteriinspektionen, with the unlicensed iGaming sector contributing SEK2.7bn, up 17 per cent year-on-year.
