Sportradar receives €44m investment to fund further growth

European private equity firm EQT Expansion Capital has invested approximately €44m in Sportradar, the Switzerland-based sports data service supplier, which will be used to finance the company’s organic and acquisitive development.

As part of the transaction EQT will become a minority investor, while Sportradar’s founder and CEO Carsten Koerl will remain the majority shareholder. The company’s management will also retain shares in the business and will continue to lead Sportradar’s further development [...]
