The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said Thursday that Spreadex’s acquisition of the B2C business of Sporting Index raises competition concerns, with the two companies given five working days to address the CMA’s concerns.
Spreadex completed the acquisition of Sporting Index from La Française des Jeux (FDJ) subsidiary Sporting Group last November, with the CMA launching a merger inquiry into the deal in February of this year.
