Former Amaya chief executive David Baazov has said that he was duped by a fake letter purportedly from Dubai-based finance firm KBC Aldini, committing to provide finance for his acquisition of the online gaming operator.
Earlier this month Baazov named KBC Aldini Capital as one of the financial backers for his multi-billion dollar bid to assume control of the company he founded, only for the firm’s chief executive Kalani Lal to deny any involvement.
