Iowa sports betting growth continues into September

Iowa’s newly regulated sports betting market continued to grow in September as the state’s 15 licensed operators collected total wagers of $38.5m during the month.

Wagering activity climbed significantly from the previous month’s €8.6m total, with sports betting operations first authorized in the state on 15 August.

Online sports bets accounted for 57 per cent of the month's total at $21.8m, with retail betting contributing $16.7m.
