The UK’s annual remote gaming duty topped £1 billion for the first time in 2023, as the country’s gambling sector paid a record £3.39 billion in taxes to HM Treasury.
Remote gaming duty (RGD) increased by 9 per cent to £1.01 billion in 2023 and was the largest contributor to the UK’s gambling taxes at a 30 per cent share.
