Sportster – Bet and Win, the free-to-play social sports app developed by Nordeus in partnership with the bwin.party-backed social casino studio Win Interactive, has been rolled out worldwide after a number of delays.

The social sports betting product allows users to place virtual currency bets on live football matches in the English Premier League, Germany’s Bundesliga, Spain’s Primera División, as well as a number of other leagues. It also features virtual matches where outcomes are determined using real-world stats and a proprietary odds prediction engine.

The game, which is now live on Facebook, offers a wide selection of bets including final and half-time scores, as well as three-way, handicap and double chance bets.

Users can also compete against one another using Bet Races, a feature that sees players compete in groups of five to collect the highest score by betting on virtual matches. They can also compete in interactive quests where they are required to place increasingly sophisticated bets.

“Nordeus fans requested the ability to bet on sports matches, and we’ve been hard at work designing a dynamic new gaming experience for them,” Nordeus project manager Nebojsa Djuric commented. “Together with Win we’ve created the ultimate fan experience in Sportster—Bet and Win, where football fans from all over the world can bet on real and virtual matches in an entirely new way.”

Win Interactive chief executive Barak Rabinowitz described Sportster – Bet and Win as one of “the first and most unique social sports betting games” in the market.

The game was released in open beta in February, with the official launch originally scheduled to take place weeks later.
