After years of failed attempts, the US state of Wyoming has finally enacted legislation to create a state lottery.
The legislation was signed into law Wednesday by Governor Matt Mead and authorises the state to enter into a multi-state lottery or to begin its own lottery.
Prior to the enactment of this legislation, Wyoming was one of only seven US states without a lottery, having failed previously in 2007, 2009 and 2011 to pass similar legislation.
