Bulgaria slashes gaming tax in bid to strengthen regulated market

The Bulgarian parliament approved an amendment to the country’s Gambling Act Wednesday that will make locally licensed operators subject to a tax on gross gaming revenues, as opposed to the previous turnover tax that was seen to have deterred operators from applying for a Bulgarian licence.
