Sweden looks to enforce gambling ad ban with new sanctions

The Swedish government has launched an inquiry to find ways to more effectively sanction unlicensed operators who advertise to Swedish consumers.

The directive from the Ministry of Finance has called for suggestions for ways to strengthen the ban, and follows a recent ruling by the Swedish Supreme Court which found that the current sanctions specified in the country's Lottery Law are discriminatory.
