Match-fixing UK footballers hit with worldwide FIFA ban

Football world governing body FIFA has extended sanctions imposed on two UK players by the Football Federation of Australia (FFA) after the pair were convicted of match-fixing last year.

The players, Reiss Michael Noel and Joe Nigel Wooley, were hit with an initial ban on September 23rd last year after Victoria Police launched a criminal investigation into the pair. This was extended into a worldwide ban on October 30th by FIFA, in accordance with article [...]
