The government of the Australian state of New South Wales has introduced new legislation to its parliament designed to combat match-fixing in sport with strict penalties for offenders.
The legislation, the Racing Administration Amendment (Sports Betting National Operational Model) Bill 2014, sets out a framework for betting agencies to establish integrity agreements with sports governing bodies.
