Online poker informant Tzvetkoff avoids jail term

Daniel Tzvetkoff, the former payment processor who became a prosecution witness to help initiate the 2011 shut-down of the leading US-facing online poker sites, has avoided a jail term.

He was sentenced yesterday by a court in the Southern District of New York to time already served and ordered to forfeit $13m to the authorities. He is now free to return to his native Australia, where he is understood to be working in a chief technology [...]
