California tribes attack “fatally flawed” Jones-Sawyer poker bill

Six of California’s Indian tribes have written to Assemblyman Reggie Jones-Sawyer urging him to withdraw his proposed bill to legalise online poker in the state.

The tribes are primarily concerned about the fact that Jones-Sawyer’s bill AB167, the Internet Poker Consumer Protection Act of 2015, introduced in January, would allow horse racing associations to apply for licences and fails to include a so-called “bad actor” clause.
