The first online gaming licenses issued in the Netherlands expire on 30 September
The first operators who went live in the regulated online gambling market of the Netherlands have had their licences renewed for a further five years.
Dutch gambling regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA)confirmed the new licences on Thursday, ahead of the 30 September expiry of those held by operators who went live in the market when online gambling was legalised in 2021.
The new licences are valid from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2031 and have been issued to eight operators.

- Bingoal Nederland (Bingoal)
- Hillside (New Media Malta) (bet365)

- Betent (Betcity)
The KSA said that it assessed numerous factors before granting the licences, including any violations that have been documented in the past five years, with several operators given “additional points for attention” as part of the renewal process.
All of the online betting and gaming licences that were due to expire this year have been renewed.
